Refunds

When a fee comes back, and when the seat is already spent.

Guided Explorer Reading

Cancel 48 hours or more before the sitting and the fee is refunded in full. Cancel inside 48 hours and half the fee is refunded, unless the desk fills the seat with another visitor, in which case the full fee returns. You may reschedule once without a fee if you ask at least 48 hours ahead. A second move is treated as a cancellation. A no-show, or arrival so late that fewer than 45 minutes remain, keeps the full fee. If the desk cancels, you may take a full refund or another time.

Thursday Reading Circle

Cancel 72 hours or more before 19:00 on the Thursday and the seat fee is refunded in full. Inside 72 hours the seat can move to another named person for that same evening, and the fee is not refunded, because the table stops at six and a late opening is hard to fill. A no-show keeps the fee. If the circle is cancelled by the desk, the fee returns in full.

Written annotation

Before markup starts — that is, before the desk has begun the written field list — you may cancel for a full refund of any amount already transferred. Once markup has started, the fee for that signature is kept, including when you later decide you do not need the note. The one included clarification round is part of the fee and is not refunded separately. If the desk cannot finish because the page is unreadable, the fee already taken for unfinished work is returned.

Deposits and materials

Sittings and circle seats are paid in full when the seat is confirmed, not as a small deposit. Annotations are paid in full when you accept the quote, because the work is short. The margin sheet and the in-room prints are included. Extra copies printed after you leave, at your request, are non-refundable once they have been printed. There is no shipping charge, because notes are handed over in the room or sent by email.

Work already started

Time already spent in a sitting that you end early is not refunded for the elapsed portion. If you end a guided sitting in the first 15 minutes because the page is not the one you meant, the desk will apply the unused portion to a later sitting in the same month rather than refunding cash, provided a public page is still what you want to read.

Method and timing

Approved refunds go back by the same transfer method you used, in Korean won, within 10 working days after the desk confirms the refund in email. The desk does not refund to a different name without a short written reason. Bank charges taken by your own bank on the original transfer are not refunded by the desk.

Exceptions

If a sitting is stopped because a private key was presented, any unused fee is returned in full and the used time is not billed. Illness on the day, told to the desk before the start, is treated as a reschedule rather than a no-show, once per booking.
